We all seek balance. We look for it every day especially in our work and family relationship. Do we ever actually achieve it? I’m not sure. I know I’m striving to make it happen.
Not that long ago I was talking to Craig about our “normal”. What is normal right? Well our normal is our routine, things we do every single day. Get up, order of showers, making lunch, ironing shirts and school uniforms, leaving for work, work life, getting home, cooking dinner, homework with the kids, some us time.
Then Christmas happens every year and throws the “normal” out the window. I find every year we struggle to get back to normal, at least all of February and some of March.
This year, we need to find our “new normal” so much has changed. I find I struggle to get back into a routine. Working from home, both kids have after school jobs and being there for mum and dad, makes routine a bit hard. But I’m getting there slowly, one little step at a time. I find that I’m embracing my schedule and planner as well as on my online calendar. At the moment all these rules my life! But don’t get me wrong that is a very good thing, I’m actually loving it! I’m on schedule with my processing, keeping tabs on when the kids are working and making sure we have everything ready to go everyday. I have always been organised, but I’m embracing this new normal of ours and feel that somehow, amongst all the kaos, I can see the balance in life that we are all looking for.
Catching up on blogging and showing you my work, has been a bit lacking. I know, I’m sorry. Below is a few images from sessions that didn’t make it to the blog last year. Sisters – Camden
